What is RODEO?

RODEO is CAPIC’s annual national competition for post-secondary student photographers and illustrators across Canada. The competition provides an opportunity for emerging image creators to showcase their work and have it reviewed by leading professionals from Canada’s commercial photography and illustration industries.

RODEO features two categories: Photography and Illustration.

Three winners and additional selected works in each category are presented as part of Xposé 2026.

PRIZES:
1st Prize: $300
2nd Prize: $200
3rd Prize: $150

ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY DETAILS:

• Open to all post-secondary visual arts students in Canada

• Participants may submit up to 20 images

• Entry fee: $20 per submission, plus applicable taxes

• All entrants receive a free one-year CAPIC Student Membership
