We’re excited to announce the return of CAPIC’s Emerging Talent membership category — designed for photographers and illustrators who are building their professional careers but don’t yet meet all the requirements for General membership.

At CAPIC, we recognize that the path to becoming a working professional isn’t always linear. The Emerging Talent membership offers a place for serious, developing creators who are actively working toward a career in commercial photography, illustration, or digital art. Whether you're fresh out of school, transitioning from another field, or simply still growing your client base and portfolio, this membership is for you.

This category is ideal for applicants who are not yet published or do not currently meet the full criteria for General membership, which requires proof of professional work and publication. Emerging Talent members receive many of the same benefits, including access to our online tools and resources, but without voting rights or eligibility to hold office.
