Last Chance to Say Goodbye: The Legendary Imperial Pub & The Library

Join CAPIC and friends for one final gathering to feel the nostalgia, share stories, and enjoy a beer before an institution closes its doors.

For over eight decades, generations of photography and arts students, creators, and community members frequented this renowned pub located just around the corner from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU, formerly Ryerson). First opening its doors in 1944 during World War 2, the Imperial Pub and its upstairs sanctuary, The Library, provided a welcoming social home for the community for 81 years.

Step inside one last time to experience The Library’s inviting atmosphere—complete with books, comfortable couches, and classic jazz tunes filling the room from the jukebox.
