MEMORIES OF AN UNKNOWN AREA
BY GILLES LAUZON
BY GILLES LAUZON
Gilles Lauzon left architecture aside to bring us back breathtaking landscape pictures and portraits from his last trip. His destination? The Philippines. In addition to its 7,000 islands, beaches and idyllic sea, this welcoming country owns one of the wonders of the world: the thousand year-old rice paddies. These natural geometric shapes are located on the hillside of mount Ifugo. There are obviously no roads, just uphill or downhill trails. Even today, there are still some real nice people who carry their hard work along the side of these slopes. In short, it is a trip that will help us to get inner peace and calm back.
I didn’t choose the right time to go nevertheless the landscape was breathtaking. There was no noise…
