Get ready to showcase your creativity in RODEO 17, the 17th edition of CAPIC’s annual Student Photography & Illustration Contest! Open to students across Canada, this competition highlights emerging talent in visual storytelling. Whether you capture stunning moments through photography or bring ideas to life with illustration, RODEO is your chance to gain industry recognition and win exciting prizes. Submit your best work and take the first step toward a professional creative career!

Students can submit to two categories: Photography and Illustration. The top 3 winners in each category will win cash prizes, in addition to national exposure!

First prize – $300
Second prize – $200
Third prize – $150

In addition, the top 10 winners from each category will also be profiled on the CAPIC website.

This contest is open to all post-secondary visual arts students in Canada.

Participants may submit up to 20 images.

All students who enter will receive a free one-year Student CAPIC membership starting this year.

An entry fee of $20 (plus applicable taxes) will be charged for each entry.

RODEO 17 will be judged by professionals from the Canadian commercial illustration and commercial photography communities.
