Claude Dagenais Captures The Spirit of the 2016 Future Chef Recipe Contest

20/04/2016

For the third consecutive year, the team from two humans participated in the future chef’s recipe contest organized by Pommes Qualité Québec. This contest regrouped this year 23 students from 8 different schools. It represents a real production challenge, since the photographer has only a few hours to illustrate all the recipes and capture the whirlwind in the kitchen. Claude’s experience as a culinary test bench photographer with many of Quebec’s top chefs is essential to the success of this endeavour.

Each student has one hour to prepare his contest entry, so the production team has to plan everything in detail to ensure that every dish gets a few minutes of glory simultaneously in front of the photographer’s lens and before the judges.

And the results are yummy as you can see. Click here and here.

M5, a festive event to showcase the talent of 5 young photographers – second edition

18/09/2015

Marsan photography college is proud to invite you to the second edition of the M5 annual exposition. An evening of celebration for 5 new faces in the photography community. These 5 students impressed the teachers with their talent, creativity and dedication during their time at Marsan. The college wishes to share their passion and work with professional photographers, artistic directors and collector in a one night only event that will be held in a gorgeous gallery located in Montreal’s old port. Don’t miss out the opportunity to be among the first to see their tremendous contributions to our art, for you will hear about them a lot in the near future!

In an effort to value constant evolution of our beloved medium, as well as promoting excellence and dedication in scholar pursuit, it is of crucial importance to value and celebrate young talent who will shape the high photographic standards of tomorrow.

The exposition will be held October 8th, at Théâtre Rialto, salle Piccolo at 5:30 pm ET.

Kurt Perschke’s RedBall Montreal as seen by Gilles Lauzon

16/09/2014

After 11 countries and 19 cities, the RedBall Project arrived in Montreal on August 31.

7 days, 7 different sites, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

This huge red ball, with its imposing yet fun presence, reinvents familiar spaces and highlights places that city-dwellers normally would not notice.

I love these projects that seem to have no reason; they can brighten our daily routine (free of charge!).
