Applied Arts Winner 2015 Winner, John Londono

13/05/2015

Congratulations to John Londono who won several prizes in the Applied Arts 2015 international competition run by Applied Arts Mag, which rewards the best photographers and illustrators in the industry.

Ornithologie, la nuit

“This image was improvised during a promotional shoot for Philippe B’s latest album entitled “Ornithologie, la nuit“. The title referring to birds, Philippe and I came with the idea to try him sitting as a bird on a chair.”

UN

This series was both a promotional piece for the Montreal Band UN and a fashion series for Zink Magazine.
I had the idea to create a environment that would suit the styling in an homogeneous way to create a world in itself.

RIVVER / LAMU

The video: https://vimeo.com/86683304

Parallel to my career as a photographer, I’m also a cinematographer working on advertisement, music videos and films. This project with director Mathieu Grimard and artist Rivver is special to me because it’s a true combination of portraiture and motion. It is one of the rare projects where I had to be both a photographer and a cinematographer simultaneously.
